Turbulence Training is basically a program for power sports athletes (Such as sprinters) that has been adapted for use by regular people. The three core ideas behind the program include hard work, proper diet, and consistency. All of the workouts take about an hour or so and are done 3 to 4 days a week, which is a pretty standard schedule that can be expected for most fitness programs.
The exercises herein are pretty much made up of medium-to-heavy weight lifting and interval training- No cardio here! Both of these techniques have been found to be highly effective at cutting belly fat in particular as compared to hours of running, which is also harder on your knees. Plus, weight training burns more calories throughout the day after you're finished your workout- Great for those of us without a ton of time to commit.
There are a lot of interesting scientific facts that can be found on the TT website, including information from a study that found that men even up to the age of 60 can lose fat and build muscle at the same time. Plus, it's impossible to 'get ripped,' or get a lot of definition in any area without doing and weight training, which is conveniently (and often) not covered in many modern training programs. Unless you eat like a clean-freak, there is no way to keep up the appearance of putting on tone without doing exercises for the areas where you want that definition.
Turbulence Training is a scientifically and physiologically sound program using modern ideas. It doesn't necessarily stray away from what the fitness community agrees is 'right,' however it's radical enough that you will surprise all of your friends and family with how fast you can get in shape. This program is highly recommended.
