Vince DelMonte is the 1st place winner in the Canadian Fitness Model Championship, and has used the same system that brought him this victory to gain entry into Maximum Fitness magazine, advise their fitness tips, and is a writer for Men's Fitness.
Vince's system is designed for those who have a hard time putting on muscle. I'm a 'hard gainer' myself, and have always struggled to increase my muscle mass while others simply can't help put pack it on after going to the gym for maybe 2 days a week. (Look up Ectomorph/Mesomorph/Endomorph body types)
Much of the training supplied is based on defeating your muscle's tendency to become 'used' to doing certain lifts, weights, and pulls. By always keeping your body guessing what you're going to throw at it next, it's not going to be able to simply adapt to one kind of exercise and will be forced to grow everywhere. This applies to every major muscle group- Arms, back, chest, core, and legs.
Supplementary Materials:
- 29-Week Program: This Beginner to Intermediate 29-week intensive training program is the exact same one that Vince used when gaining approx. 40 pounds of muscle in a little more than half a year before winning the Canadian Fitness Model Championship. It also has a log book, calandar, and so forth to help you keep track.
- Second 29-Week Program: The second program is intended for those who are very advanced and have been training for a couple of years. It's extremely difficult and I would recommend doing 2 cycles of the Intermediate program before attempting this!
- Kick Start Program: This is included to enable you to fix and postural, stability, flexibility, and conditioning issues you may have before starting the other programs. Starting a fitness binge with any of these issues can lead to injury, and this insider's guide aims to rectify that.
- 5 84-Day Meal Plan: Yeah, you read that right: 5 84 day meal plans. Not only are these optimized for those who have a difficult time putting on muscle, but there's enough material to last you a year if you stick with the program. They're based on the premise that if you follow his program, you will need to eat a LOT of food to facilitate the building of new muscle.
- Virtual Exercise Demonstrator: Essentially a database of video exercises to ensure you do the exercises with proper form to avoid injury
- Metabolic Growth Calculator: Similar to a BMI calculator, this will give you detailed information on how many calories you should be eating per day depending on if you want to build muscle, gain tone, etc.
This is getting a little long-winded so I'm actually going to stop there, but there's 6 more sections that are included ranging from videos to nutritional information, and more. Vince also offers a similar online-coaching community to Sean Nalewanyj's, where many customers post their personal workout routines, give each other advice, offer support, and before/after tracking.
The only thing I didn't overly care for was the 85-day diet guides. If you have an Endomorph body type, you will gain unnecessary weight by following the high-calorie 'build' days. Keep this in mind if you decide to purchase, and make sure you know your body type before you change your diet- Just make sure you stay healthy, and you should be okay.
I personally think that other than Sean Nalewany's programs, this offers the most value for your money in expert training. All of the information he has included is foolproof- If you follow it, you will see results. Simple as that.
